I was craving something sweet today so I decided to head into the kitchen for a little experimentation. What I came up with was a delicious, low carb, high protein treat:
Almond Apple Protein Cake
- 3 Tbsp Almond Meal
- 1 Scoop PP (I use BSN Syntha-6 in Vanilla Ice Cream)
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 Fuji Apple, peeled and xhopped
- 1 Egg White
- 1/2 C Almond Milk, unflavored
- dash Cinnamon
- dash Butter
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
Add almond milk and egg to dry mix and mix well.
Sautee apples in butter until soft.
Transfer apples into a greased baking dish.
Pour batter over top of apples.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until firm.
